Gog galaxy wont launch11/22/2023 If I leave it alone, the game launches after a few seconds. After clicking "Play" I got a small pop-up error message: MatchesCountError (with some random-looking numbers/letters/symbols) 0.3.1) by skomski (from NexusMods) by extracting the zip contents to:Ĭ:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\圆4 (as per the instructions)ĭid some Googling and found out where to download those missing. The ONLY things I have done between my earlier play session and now are:ġ) Installed Debug Console Enabler (ver. Now I'm getting all this BS with GOG Galaxy not working, vanishing shortcuts, and not being able to launch the game with the game's. But other than that, I was able to play just fine with no problems. I was able to do a manual save, and then right before I logged out I tried to do another manual save and it wouldn't let me, saying something about how I couldn't do that right now (don't remember the exact wording). (My very first time playing since I purchased it). The program can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer.Įarlier this evening I was able to launch the game (via GOG Galaxy) and play for about 30 mins. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. When I try run witcher3.exe (as Administrator) from my desktop, I keep getting these errors: Note: The previous desktop shortcut (that vanished) was named: The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt I figured I'd launch the game with the other shortcut that was automatically added to my desktop when I installed the game, but it seems to have vanished from my desktop.Ĭ:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\圆4Īnd sent witcher3.exe to my desktop as a shortcut. I just ran the "VERIFY / REPAIR" and still nothing. I've tried rebooting my comp and trying again, but still nothing.ĭoes anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix it? The error went away, GOG Galaxy was no longer automatically crashing, I was able to re-install my game within GOG Galaxy without having to manually download and install it, and my progress is now saving and being synced with the server. When I click "Play" in GOG Galaxy, nothing happens. Click OK to close the application.Īfter doing more research I found a thread in this forum titled "0xc0000005 error" suggesting to turn off "Mandatory ASLR", which I did via Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > App & Browser Control > Exploit protection > Exploit protection settings > System settings > Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR), changed "On by default" to "Use default (Off)". The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000005). After doing this and restarting my computer I attempted to re-install GOG 2.0, since I had previously uninstalled it, and this time I was unable to launch GOG Galaxy at all. I searched online for information on this DLL file and found some thread for another game or application and the solution was to uninstall and re-install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 2022 Redistributable (x86)" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 2022 Redistributable (圆4)". I noticed after uninstalling a GOG game I was no longer able to install it from GOG Galaxy and did the manual download and install as suggested by the previous poster in this thread, but noticed my game progress was not being saved or synced with the server.Ī couple weeks or months later I did more digging and found errors in my event viewer Application log, but they were related to another application referencing a DLL file. I tried uninstalling and re-installing GOG Galaxy 2.0 multiple times with no change. It seemed to be when trying to sync with the server. Not sure if this is related, but I started having problems with GOG Galaxy automatically crashing after about 30 seconds with no error message.
